style="text-decoration: underline;">About STBV

STBV provides live streaming video content and related digital advertising via its websites and social media. The company’s online business is divided into the two segments–WaZillo, and WaZilloMedia–as summarized on the right.

The convergence of a number of key social, technical, and economic factors are driving the market and making this the right time for Strategic’s online solutions.

Video: There is no question that online video continues to boom. According to Internet audience measurement firm comScore Media Metrix, video watching now accounts for approximately one-eighth of Americans’ total time spent on the Internet.

Broadband: A key driver for streaming video has been broadband access, which has been rapidly adopted over the past ten years. More than 85% of all Americans now use broadband access from their homes.

Mobile Connectivity: The growth in mobile media usage is largely attributable to the growth in smartphone adoption, 3G/4G device ownership and the increasing ubiquity of unlimited data plans, all of which facilitate the consumption of mobile media.

Search: Online it’s easy to find information. Major search engines are among the most heavily trafficked sites on the Web. People are increasingly turning to the Web–and not solely search engines–as their source of information for making decisions of all types.

Immediacy: Sparked by Facebook and Twitter, the real-time trend represents the growing demand for immediacy in people’s activities and interactions. Immediacy is compelling, engaging, and highly addictive–it’s a sense of living in the now.

Demographics: Adults in their twenties and thirties are the most socially active age group. They like to go out to meet new people, socialize with their friends, people watch, and dance. In the U.S. 27% of the population is between the ages of twenty and forty–82.9 million people in total.

The expectation of real-time, on demand information is becoming a part of every aspect of people’s lives. Strategic Global Investments is positioned to benefit as people’s focus and purchasing dollars continue to shift to online resources.

STBV has a real estate development subsidiary, which specializes in developing Eco-friendly, luxury real estate in highly desirable vacation destinations.

This subsidiary looks to acquire and develop land in resort locales, and then build, market and sell small luxury resort homes, called Small Luxury Villas (“SLV”) on a fractional ownership basis.

STBV’s subsidiary, Punta Perfecta S.A. de C.V.–a Mexican Corporation that is 99% owned and controlled by STBV.–owns land in the Los Cabos area of Baja, Mexico and has an option to purchase additional land in La Paz Mexico.

STBV’s real estate ventures are as a small developer in a niche, highly competitive market. Management believes the issuer will be able to compete because its land costs are well below the amount competitors typically pay for raw land in comparable Mexican resort destinations. In addition, management believes its labor costs will be lower, its main labor force already being in place. In addition, issuer has an in-house general contractor that, in management’s opinion, keeps its building and labor costs much lower than its competitors who contract out the construction of their project(s).

STBV recognizes that major hotel chains such as Hilton, Westin and Mayan Palace and others are in the process of developing competitive resorts in the same general area. Some have already acquired land and have begun their projects but this, in the view of management, will also help the issuer in sales because these large concerns will bring amenities to the area that will assist the issuer in sales of its project(s).

Recent Developments

Voice of Marijuana Industry Slated to Expand with Media Deal Between GrowLife (OTCQB: PHOT), Strategic Global Investments (PINK: STBV), and Private Partners – GrowLife Studios Planned in San Diego, Los Angeles, & New York

WOODLAND HILLS and SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — GrowLife, Inc., a provider of highly effective indoor growing technologies and unique lifestyle brands, is pleased to announce that consistent with its ongoing mission to build a long-standing brand and multiple streams of revenue, it has signed a Letter of Intent with Strategic Global Investments (PINK: STBV) to build a comprehensive, multi-channel media network for the marijuana industry.

The “core” of the network is expected to include:

GrowLife Studios: San Diego (@ STBV Headquarters) & Los Angeles (@ PHOT Headquarters)
Partner Studios in New York and Other Large Cities – Affiliations with Other Top Brands
Quality, Creative Productions on All Marijuana Topics with Expansive Distribution and Websites
Digital Advertising Server for Banners & Commercials – Multi-Tiered Sponsorships
Acquisition of Terrestrial TV & Radio Stations / Channels / Rights
“Our vision is to create a platform for everyone in the marijuana industry – from the recreational or medicinal user, to the commercial grower, to the retail or institutional investor, and everything in between. The interest in these markets is evident with the rising profile of marijuana. The value inherent in owning and consolidating the media for this business is overlooked in my opinion,” said Kyle Tracey, President of GrowLife and Executive Director of GrowLife Productions. “This project is of direct benefit to GrowLife Productions and www.Cannabis.org in providing us more viewers and traffic, and thus more value for potential sponsors.”

While the brand penetration for GrowLife as the backbone of this network is immeasurable, a three-pronged approach is being used to design the enterprise in order to maximize revenue and scalability. The three drivers of this business should each operate autonomously and with a commitment to constant improvement and innovation.

Quality content will be created by GrowLife, GrowLife partners, and network users. In GrowLife Studios or potential partner studios, and remotely from events by GrowLife Productions – unique content with dedicated creative directors featuring the hottest topics in cannabis will be created. Existing content from GrowLife or GrowLife partners should serve as a quality base of data as the network is populated with exciting shows, clips, and user generated content.

Syndication and distribution of content will be coordinated by experts. “Pushing” content through traditional and newly developed or acquired channels expands viewership and sponsorship opportunities. Acquiring these viewers as potential customers for GrowLife or sponsors and improving stickiness and visitor engagement could provide exponential growth of dedicated users. A team is slated exclusively for distribution of content, who will also build a network of websites to serve the content. This team will ensure social media interaction and sharing.

Monetizing content through advertisers and sponsorships. Using a blend of advertising servers and traditional sponsorships of shows or content is expected to provide revenue for GrowLife and any partners of this business. This team will be charged with acquiring data for GrowLife and GrowLife partners, and securing revenue agreements via advertising, sponsorship, or affiliate relationships.

Planning for the project has commenced over the past 30 days, and an LOI has been executed by GrowLife and Strategic Global Investments with formal documentation planned by 4/30/13 with a deposit to Strategic Global Investments for GrowLife Studios: San Diego, and the announcement of additional partners.

“After meeting with Mr. Fellner in early March and reviewing the potential space for GrowLife Studios: San Diego, as well as the technical capabilities of the Wazillo Media team – we are confident that this project has considerable upside for GrowLife revenue and our brand penetration,” stated Sterling Scott, CEO & Chairman of GrowLife. “San Diego is a hub for the medical marijuana community, especially for public companies. I can foresee how GrowLife and our industry benefit from this dynamic project.”

Industry Outlook

Internal research indicates that digital advertising and media has yet to marry with the multi-billion dollar marijuana industry. According to a December 19th, 2012 press release from the Internet Advertising Bureau, online ad revenue hit historic highs in Q3 2012 of $9.3 billion. Those figures are further cited in the release as showing an 18 percent increase year-over-year (compared to 2011′s $7.8 billion in Q3). Any potential digital advertising revenue from this network would be above and beyond sponsorship opportunities that will inevitably develop.

STBV’s CEO & Chairman Andrew Fellner called the deal, “An ability to align our company with the ‘green rush’ that has the potential to be a great opportunity for our shareholders. It is our intent to provide GrowLife and any partners of this project with the best production quality and access to our proprietary Wazillo Media technologies. In doing so, we expect to acquire a long-term customer and related revenue.”

Moreover, this new partnership places STBV directly in the cannabis industry!

Medical Marijuana and Industrial Hemp are both a species derived from the Cannabis. L. Sativa plant, but are completely different in their medical and industrial applications.

Today, Cannabis has over 55,000 known uses from medicinal to industrial applications such as concrete, building materials, textiles, animal feed, fuel as well as a food which millions of people a day enjoy. What both of these species have in common is that they are grossly underutilized and misunderstood.

The History of Hemp as an industrial and medicinal product dates to the beginning of recorded history. It has been estimated that marijuana in the United States alone is a $110 billion market and the medical market makes up nearly $1.7 billion.

For more information regarding STBV, please click: http://strategicglobalinvestments.net

Stay tuned for further updates!

Kind Regards,

HotStockProfits.com

*Gains are calculated based on the difference between company’s high of day price and open price, the trading day immediately following the evening trade alert.<br

There are multiple strategies and tons of brokers that you can use, so in this article I will try to make it as simple as possible. Many of you are placing your trades and investments over the telephone with full-service brokers…This is not something that I recommend doing. Firstly, this can be very expensive. Secondly, especially if you are a day or swing trader, your primary concern is timing. You want to enter or exit a trade the moment you decide that its time. With a full-service brokerage firm it takes much more time to place a trade than if you were to do it through an online brokerage firm. The easiest way to place a trade, safely and securely, is through an online brokerage firm. All you have to do, is simply open up an account and you’re pretty much ready. Now as far as which brokerage firm to choose, I personally recommend TD Ameritrade and/or E*Trade. Both of these platforms have their own advantages however what particularly interests me is the straightforward pricing model. Whether you are using TD Ameritrade or E*Trade, you will be paying $9.99 per trade. Whether you are buying 100 shares, 1,000 shares, or 1,000,000 shares, as long as your trade is executed with one standing order, you will only pay $9.99. Last I checked TD Ameritrade doesn’t have any strings attached. E*Trade may have some special rules for after-hours trading. The advantages of having 2 brokerage accounts instead of one depends on which types of stocks you intend to trade. If you are primarily a penny stock investor then it may be a good idea to have two brokerage accounts and here is why – some penny stocks are restricted from being traded/invested on certain platforms. Having 2 platforms allows you to ensure that you will have an opportunity to buy any company of your choice in case one brokerage firm has specific restrictions for that company’s stock.

OK, so now since we have established where you can buy stocks, lets talk about “How To Buy Stock”

Open up an online brokerage account. This process will probably take you less than 20 minutes.

Put your finances in order. Figure out how you will fund your brokerage account. Are you going to take out a loan or do you have some cash lying around in the sock drawer?

Due diligence. Never buy something without doing research over the company, industry, etc. You need to be able to clearly understand the company’s business model and growth potential. Don’t simply purchase a company just because your uncle has it in his portfolio.

Diversify, diversify, diversify. Make sure that you are not putting all your eggs in one basket. I personally do not suggest placing more than 8-10% of your portfolio into any one equity. Not only buy more companies, but make sure they are positioned in different industries – choose one from healthcare, oil & gas, entertainment, etc. You get the idea.

After purchasing your company, monitor it. Don’t stalk it, unless you are a day-trader. If you are a long-term investor, make sure you know how your portfolio looks at least once a week.

This was a quick guide for beginner traders on how to buy stock. Follow this link to be the first to receive it: http://www.hotstockprofits.com/stockquotes/?q=FB

However, despite the optimism, there are numerous challenges that could easily cripple the relatively young growing company. If we recall, only recently Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) introduced to the public the possibility to “Like” pages, which created its first major move towards beginning capitalization of the vast global network that Facbeook has built over the years. However, despite Facebook having such extensive data about more than 800 million Facebook accounts, truly monetizing this network will create further pressure on the company, and its highly opinionated CEO to yield to the demands of public investors who will own a chunk of the company as of May 18th at a valuation that is roughly 16x Facebook’s yearly revenues.

Therefore, before putting the majority of your chips on this hot commodity, many investors are turning to alternative investments that have exposure to Facebook, yet allow significant diversification for long-term positioning. One of these companies that owns 300,000 shares of Facebook (according to the company’s latest filings) is GSV Capital Corp (NASDAQ: GSVC). class="readmore" href="http://www.hotstockprofits.com/2012/05/01/sell-in-may-go-away/">READ MORE

Sell in May & go away? This popular adage has been a prevailing belief of many over the years, but is there any truth to it? Can we anticipate for this saying to be accurate every year? What are the markets telling us right now? And most importantly, what do I do with my money today to prepare myself.

All of these are very pressing questions and may seem to have more than one answer, but sometimes its much more simple then we make it out to be.

The stock market, among other things, is a great psychological mechanism that reacts to the sentiments of millions. If enough people believe it, it will happen. Now I’m not suggesting that by merely believing that you will be a millionaire, that you can sit on your couch and expect the money to rain on you. What I am saying is that, while fundamentals and other factors might be looking pretty for many companies, sometimes its beneficial to just take a huge step back and look at the bigger picture. Sometimes all you need to be a millionaire is a healthy gut.

What do we know about the stock market that is similar to the laws of physics? Whatever goes up at some point will come down, unless you are Apple. We have had an impressive Q1. In fact it was so impressive that the S&P 500 hasn’t demonstrated such results in over a 14 years period. Part of the argument that explains this recent robust growth is not only a healthier outlook on the US economy with companies significantly increasing margins and effectively reducing costs, but also due to the further devaluation of the US dollar. As foreign currencies continue their appreciation in value, relative to the US dollar, it has become cheaper for investors from abroad to purchase US securities. In fact, something that partially supports this claim is evidence of unusually low volume levels during this 4 month time frame indicating to us that the majority of hedge fund and other investment vehicles positioned in the US are still hoarding cash and investing in money market securities while missing out on the risk adjusted returns that equities were capable of providing.

Now, if we look at the overall technicals, the markets seem to have exhausted its attempts at hurling over the 4 year highs. With that said I do not anticipate the same sort of sell-off to occur as it did last summer. With uncertainty looming in Europe, I believe that may be the bearer of bad news for the markets and for company profit margins. For the next 3 months I would expect a sideways market movement with no huge up or down trends on an overall basis.

So should I sell in May and go away?

The answer is no. There is enormous opportunity out there to make huge returns on investment, especially in the small cap market. While I don’t expect the common blue-chip to provide us with double digit growth during the summer months, I do expect many small cap companies to provide my subscribers with double and even triple digit gains.

Heavy Movement For Market Stocks Wednesday (CSCO, C, CTIC, BAC)

Contributors

BAC

C

CSCO

CTIC
<guid

While I do believe that we are in far better standing than 4 years ago, the markets are suggesting a somewhat false sense of security for at home traders, especially.

The devaluing dollar is causing this rise in the markets.

Printing money is good for the US equity markets. Unfortunately, this doesn’t help a US based investor. Devaluation of the USD is providing more opportunity for investors from abroad to pick up shares of companies traded on the NYSE and NASDAQ. As the USD becomes weaker, major foreign currencies are becoming stronger against the dollar, which means that investors from those countries now have a greater incentive to pick up cheap shares of companies in American markets. The more demand, given the same supply, the greater the price. Hence, the negative correlation between the USD index and the major US indexes such as the S&P 500 and the DJI.

The $VIX is signaling higher lows, suggesting a reversal in the major indexes.

Much like the USD price index and the major indexes, the Volatility Index and the major indexes move in opposite directions. Currently, the VIX is bouncing off its lows, with higher lows in the past weeks, signaling what could mean a top for the S&P 500. (I prefer to compare everything to the S&P 500 rather than the DJI because it’s a market value weighted index, rather than a price weighted index). Moreover, the S&P 500 is approaching psychological highs from 2008, levels that would be only surpassed on substantial news. At the moment, I just do not see such a catalyst happening. Right now it looks like we have a double top and new resistance level forming, however if we do experience significant news, then this could all change.

Volume has been at record low levels during this quarter.

Liquidity is an important factor when analyzing whether prices are at their fair market value. Many hedge funds and private US investment firms have opted out of investing into equity markets during 2011 and Q1 of 2012. With this in mind, it is important to note when volume levels once again kick-up. I doubt it will happen while we are sitting at mult-year highs.

Rules To Live By, Swing Trader Edition

HSP Team
<guid

I believe swing trading is a balanced investment approach that provides the essential moderation and activity to any portfolio in an extremely volatile market. Here is why – In 2011 the DOW ended the year up only 5% while the S&P 500 finished flat. So had you invested in the beginning of that year, by the end of it you would be sitting with a mere 5% gain, if your portfolio mirrors the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which is a price weighted index. However, had you been more active throughout the year, and followed a moderate swing trading practice (such as the one offered by my HSP Premium Gold program) your returns could easily have been triple that of the major worldwide indexes.

Ask yourselves two questions when analyzing any swing trade:

Do I see a short-term arbitrage opportunity based on technical indicators?

Is there a positive MACD (flow of money) movement or negative?

Four Big No No’s…

Don’t waste your time on researching the company’s fundamentals – it doesn’t matter.

It doesn’t matter what industry the company is positioned in.

Emotions – Don’t get in a serious relationship with the company.

Do not put more than 10% of your portfolio into this swing trade!

When you are analyzing technical indicators, position your trade in such a way that allows you to capture gains in one to four days. The longest time frame that I would suggest for a swing trade is up to 8-10 days…but only if you have a good reason for this!

If you want to spend no more than 20 minutes each day, and experience the success from swing trading of stocks and ETFs, sign up to my HSP Gold Premium program.

Feel free to contact me at <a
